We wanted to give you an update on the Google Apps email migration. Over the last few weeks we created your new mailbox on Google Apps and we migrated a lot of student email. The migration of student email took much longer than expected. Please take a moment to look at your mailbox to make sure that your old messages are in Google Apps.  If you are missing messages please email support@delval.edu and let us know so that we can re-migrate your messages.

At this time, all students should only be using the new email system. You can click on the Student Email link on the College’s home page or you can go directly to start.delval.edu. Your email password, user name and address have not changed. Sunday February 14, 2010 will be the last day you will be able to access your email on the old system.

Email migration is still going on. Many email accounts have been fully migrated but we still have more to go. If you need emails that have not been migrated please use the old Webmail system to view them. The migration is running 24/7 but due to various reasons it is taking longer than expected. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

On Thursday, January 28, 2010 we will be migrating all student email accounts to DVC Apps. Contact Technology Services if anyone is having problems.

We have officially begun the Google Apps pilot program. Right now we have about 15 people using the new system. The plan is to migrate all student email accounts during the last full week of January. We are looking for other students who would be able to help us test the system. If you know of someone who is interested please have them contact Technology Services. And don't forget to send us your suggestions and comments.
